At the beginning of the new semester, elementary school teacher Zhou Nuan is informed that a transfer student will be joining her class. The child’s father turns out to be Shi Anlan, the newly appointed Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee.
During a home visit, Zhou Nuan accidentally learns that Shi Anlan is divorced and currently single.
